I started a run on a few 52z base/caps with that copper-green look to them and added a light scene to the bottom at the same time raised the base like the Astros have. A few holes were drilled to make it so with stainless steel bottoms which worked out great. I will add more as I continue with this project. The painting was fun since you only get one chance as you make it happen.

Bohdan, what did you use for the feet and how did you attach them.  Nice touch to a classic lamp base.

Thanks I used metal chair gliders found in the Home depot. These came with screw ends and they were screwed thru the drilled holes. I had removed the bottom plate and added a socket with 15w bulb for that lit bottom base.

I really like this idea! Really neat to allow the light to go around the base. Another great custom from Bohdan.

Much better than that crappy felt that creates rust and that I keep having to replace

BTY< I have some green felt for those "vintage" lamps that may need restoration
