bubble removal

I have a clear/red lantern model 6000,,i think. It has millions of bubbles in the lava. How can i get rid of the bubbles?

You will never get rid of most of the bubbles in the lava. Even after you run the lamp and have it very hot the bubbles will go away a little but in the end they will return. I once had a Vintage lamp with the same problem I was able to get rid of the bubbles on this globe after I found another globe from the same year and swapped the liquid the lava was flowing very well after that. I also did the same to a USA LW 52z globe from 1999 that had tons of bubbles in the orange lava. Once again I swapped the Clear liquid from another globe that had purple lava and the orange lava ran fine again. I did refill the purple with the liquid from the orange and the bubbles now appeared to that lava not as bad as it was yet still there. It seems to be in the liquid on that batch run.

Have you ever swapped liquid from a modern lamp to an old one? What about mixing liquids?
I'll have a hard time deciding which one to sacrifice.
Maybe I'll try to make my own liquid?

Never swap old to new or new to old the liquids are very different. Even the lamps from 1999 LW USA have a different liquid then the older vintage ones. Always try to use the same batch year and you should be good. Now as for the China lamps there liquid has changed a little over time from LL China and what I have done is to swap the liquid from a few years ago to the newer ones and see wahr happen to the wax. If the wax shoots straight up after it has been on for a few then I will just swap back. Also with vintage lamps Do Not add water to them it will kill them in the long run. I use to buy older lamps for there liquid and would mark them so I always had that liquid for that lamp when needed. Also never add food color or water to a LW wizard. The only way to change the color is to mix them with another one. By mixing a red and yellow wizard you will be able to have a great looking orange wizard.
