Lava World U.S.A 1999

This was there best ever year to release Lava lamps. They added quite a bit to the catalog and there models were fantastic. They had great looking Centuries and Aristocrats. The Wizards were another great Glitter lamp for 1999. Here I have added the Century pic from that page and over time I will add the other pages for all new members to see what Lava World U.S.A was all about when they still made fantastic Lava Lamps.I have added order sheet pics to this page to view.

They had wonderful looking Aristocat lamps with the pin holes that just like the Century really set them off. This is something that the new Lava Lite will never match again.

There glitter were very fast moving in there Star and Moon base/cap design. They also added Lava to there Wizards and the color of the bases started to become popular. There cap size design also changed from the larger cap used with Glitter to the smaller cap used for Lava. The reason for this was that the Wizard glitter version ran hotter and expanded the liquid up higher but once cooled down with the larger cap you could not see the larger inner air gap. They were great sellers even though there formula was toxic it was still there best running and looking U.S.A made Glitter lamp ever . There most sought after globe is there multi glitter version in Clear liquid and also in Red liquid with the same Glitter.

One thing to remember before adding liquid is the Wizards in glitter look like they have liquid missing from the top. This is normal since as the liquid heats up it will rise. The liquid should be around 2" from the inner sealed RED plug and the larger cap should be with this vase. If the RED inner plug is missing then the vase was opened at one time.

As you can see what the Wizard looks like cold in the liquid. This is normal even though it looks like liquid missing.

Once you have the correct larger cap installed all is normal and as the vase gets hot the liquid will be only 1" from the red inner seal.

The inner red plug was installed by the factory to keep as much of the liquid smell from passing thru the bottle cap. Even when sealed correctly the inner fumes are so strong that another inner seal was needed.

Very True Bohdan - Some had different size caps. When I run the wizard or even take it out of the storage box, I can smell the chemical inside very faintly.

The ceramic series 2 Icons were released . They had 7 styles in zany new collection of Lava U.S.A brand ceramic-based motion lamps to fit any personality.  the Garfield #5109--the Peace #5808--the Celestial #5524--the Red Splotch #5725--theSharks #5303--the Galactic # 5220 and the Purple Splotch # 5924 a few of this are very sought after and at times are sold for over $200.00. They sold for $75.00 each except for the Garfield one which sold for $80.00 when they first went on sale. From this series 2 the most sought after is the Shark. They have been known to reach $325.00 at times in new condition and with the box. When looking for the Shark always be on the look out for one of the Sharks fin to have damage caused by shipping very fragile this one is.

With Halloween coming LW released 2 very special Icons that were to be very collectable as the yrs went by.

The Pumpkin which can sell for up to $300.00 dependent on who is bidding and The Spooktacular with a purple Wizard globe which has at times reached the $400.00 range both however were sold with box which is very important.
