A Place for Lava Lamp & Vintage Lights Fans All Over The World
For the last 3 days I have been to 2 Target shops in my area buying a few of the Clearview lamps. As time went by I returned 3 lamps todate due to heavy cloudyness in the liquid. I have kept 2 of them since they were hard to find in the Yellow and Purple colors. Both are cloudy but not as bad as the others I had bought and these have no wax streaks all over the inner vase. Both are 32z models the Yellow is #4408 and the Purple is #4425. They use a 25w bulb in them since they may melt the upper plastic cup holder if 40w bulbs are being used. I have begun to run the 2 globes I have in sliver streak base with 40w bulb so they will hopefully clear up faster over time. The cost was yes Cheap $22.00 and they may have many returns on them very soon from the buying public. I will update this forum as time goes by.
From what I have seen so far it looks like the same formula from the Neons.
The vase on the center Silver Streak is an older China version from yrs ago. Perhaps they should return to this older Formula.

Hi Bohdan - Does yours have the white residue in the base of the bottle?
All of the 12z models I took out to check have the white dye packed into the coil area. I recently went back to see other new arrivals for Target and just for fun checked out a Red 32z Clearview it was cloudy not as bad as the yellow versions but for new stock that just arrived Not Good.
This is to be there new trial run for what they will have for us early next Year in the USA. It looks like LL will have the globes shipped from China to USA and place them into boxes with USA workers with China made base and caps. Perhaps the box will be made in the USA with imported parts.

Visited my larger Target shop today and saw the 32z Clearviews on a Clearance sale how appropriate this is. There have been so many returns on them and sales have been extremely low i wonder why. If only LL would have done the right thing and made these lamps well but they did not and so many more customers have been left with what Lava lamps from this company are all about. Even when they arrive next yr here and try to sell there products who will be there to buy them. On sale for around $10.00 why not even worth the $10.00. Better to use the $10.00 and buy a better quality Lava lamp from Five Below at least they are clear they work and they look great and you get 2 of them.
Looking good with your garage sale however this lamp is not a Clearview model they have that upper plastic hold cup around them and run with a 25w reflector bulb. The ones that were not as cloudy would run and then the wax would be stuck at the top. Spencers online still carry 2 version and the cost around $20.00 but they have problems.
