This is an old Lava Giant I refilled. The old lamp was bought off of eBay and I think was owned by a bad care taker. It was all cloudy and stuff so I refilled it. The wax is supposed to be blue, but it looks more purple in person.

I have a new video coming soon as to the progress and side by side comparisons. You were asking how much serf I used, so I'm posting a picture. The part in purple, is what I DIDN'T use.

Well I'm on my way home now, and will let you know how it's doing. I have it on a timer with a clear/red giant and will
compare and possibly take photos. (Both turned on at 5 and it's 9:30 now.

Perhaps adding a smaller 2nd coil from a 52z or 32z lamp may change the flow as it has with the new Neon Lava Lamps in Grande version. Also 2nd coil makes it run hotter and may just be what your need.

Oh... And I used about 3/4 bottle of surf.

It was on for 8 hrs then off for 2. Wen I got home I changed bases and turned it back on. This was taken about 1/2 hour into the second warm up. After about 4 more hours it seemed to be better. I think I put too much dye in it btw cause it looks purple, not blue. Lol

From the video it looks like more heat is needed. How long was it on for and what is the room temp. If the temp of the liquid feels hot perhaps you need to run it a few days and then see. How much surf did you use.

My question now is do I need to add more or less surfactant? It's got that great snake like flow we all agree is good, but I wish it were a little faster in the flow department.
