Hello All, many thanks for linking my lamp .I am the owner of this auction.I actually signed up to this site prior to listing the lamp on ebay but was waiting for my membership to be approved.
If you have any questions about the lamp please ask
I'm not a lava lamp collector I only have a passing interest in them in I havecouple of common ones this just happened to be one of those once in a lifetime finds.
I did think about keeping it for a while but decided against it on a few many factors but the main one being that members here and over at the other forum would appeciate it much more than I ever would ,and hence someone is going to get their dream lamp.
I just hope the winning bidder collects and lives in uk as if it goes to a international bidder I am getting it crated up by a company and shipped out the type of people who normally deal with museum artefacts shipping !
I would never entrust this to any normal courier/postal company no way it would survive
Wow - I hope this goes to a good home. I don't have this kind of cash but hope it goes to a lovely place.
Now this is a great opportunity for a lava collector to have a chance of winning this princess and adding it to there collection.
I hope someone in the UK wins this one since the chance of this lamp making it safely accross to another country is like a 50 50 shot with the way items are misplaced or damaged along the way.
How long have you owned it for Fabian ?
If only I had the spare cash, this is and always has been my dream lamp
I have only owned it a few weeks.I realised it was rare when I saw it and bought it however I did not realise just how rare it was til I got it home and researched online.
it was a scary drive home I actually took my sheepskin coat off and wrapped it around the globe and placed it in a box with lots of bubblewrp it looked a bit like a baby in a crib !
For any potential US bidders I have obtained a estimate from UPS air freight this would be a wooden crate on pallet with insurance.
Estimate is £300-£400 GBP (will likely vary by your state of residence )
