That anodized copper Astro is going to be a real winner for Mathmos.
I think I will get some of those copperish ones, they look very different to anything out there.
Perhaps Mathmos will be the only company out there that will continue to make the larger 52z Astro lamps. I have seen nothing new from LL on the 52z lamps and they just may stop making them for a while again just like they have stopped the Grande lamps for now.
Oh that is really an interesting lamp. No U.S. sales I would bet.
sorry the fireball will not be showing its face for a while but the giant might show her face.
if you want to know about the giant go to flowoflava.com then go on mathmos early 1990s and youll find it ;)
Wow, love that Mathmos have so much stuff planned, the new coloured Astros look great
In celebration of our 50th birthday Mathmos has created a limited edition Astro with commemorative certificate signed by Christine, the former wife and business partner of Mathmos founder and lava lamp inventor, Edward Craven-Walker. Inspired by one of our 1960s adverts each lamp has gold annodised metal parts and clear red lava. Each edition comes with a 50th birthday sash, a numbered and signed certificate, hand made in Britain print on the base, special limited edition box and gold embossed logo on the bottle. The edition is limited to 500 world wide so buy early to ensure ownership of this piece of British cultural and manufacturing history.
As I have said before there can only be one and Mathmos is still the world leader in Lava Lamps.
Another great story on Mathmos 50th.
