A Place for Lava Lamp & Vintage Lights Fans All Over The World
This base was damaged, the lacquer was cracked and corroded. I sanded with a fine sanding sponge, cleaned it then painted it with a primer/paint in one (to promote adhesion). So far no bubbling or cracking. Keeping my fingers crossed!

The paint should be fine. I have used all sorts of regular paints from Testors paints for the copper finish to Krylon and they work great.
