This is the new Lava Clear View in red. Thanks to whomever posted theirs on here with a review. I saw them at a store the other day and thought; "What is this crap?" and kept on walking. Then I saw it on here with the review and my suspicions we all confirmed. Other than a cool looking base; Nothing about it made me want to buy it. Until today. I saw them elsewhere on the web and was getting more and more fascinated. I been telling my self that I can't be buying anymore lamps but I did. I bought the red one. So here's my thoughts... Not too sure about the plastic part of the base (could be glass maybe?). Looks cool in theory though. The globe; which is what I was most worried about; got home clear as a bell; even while sitting in a hot car during my job interview. Someone said that the older globes fit on it just in case; but I have tried both a 90's globe the 70's/80's globes and they are slightly smaller. I have it running now and will take pictures of it on full run later. So far it's a 4 out of 5 stars for me.
