I would run the Jet for a few weeks to see if it clears. If the Jet you bought was clear when sold then it may clear up. In order to fix the globe you would have to find another Jet within the same year and then hope it also arrives clear in order to do a swap. You could also use a filter pump to clear it up but now we have added another cost to make it happen and at times Mathmos globes do not filter well since even though the globe is clear the flow may not be well and start to stick inside.
Cloudy Jets will over time clear up due to shipping unless the lamp was cloudy before it was bought. I have a Clear/Purple jet that arrived cloudy a few yrs ago. What I did was run it till it was nice and hot for around 6 hours then I let it sit for a few days the cloudy wax in the liquid hardened as it cooled down and over time became one with the wax once more. You may have to run this lamp for a few weeks off/on for it to clear up. Mathmos lamps once cloudy are very hard to make clear again this will take time.
My fav. are the Jets. I see we have a Rare white on white Jet. This is what Mathmos needs to do is bring back a limited run on the Jets and all will be sold out fast.
Love the Lantern!
Nice selection of Mathmos lamps!
