Welcome to Club Carramar

Carramar Lighting was an Australian company based in Mt Gambier in South Australia that produced Lava lamps, Fibre Optic lamps and Touch lamps.

Carramar is famous for producing the Volcano Lava lamps.

Their Lava lamps were made with high quality heavy chromed bases and came in various wax colours that produced a great flow.

What was really unique about these Lava lamps was that the globe was indented in the base to house the light bulb within the bottle from the lamp base. The bottom of the lamp base was open and created a bright ring of light wherever the lamp was placed.

Sadly, Carramar went into liquidation, not much is known about this company and it appears its history has gone untold.

I would like to dedicate this page to the only Australian lava lamp company.

If you own a Carramar Lava lamp your pictures and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
