Whats new in the World of Lava.

This will be a place to add new lamps from the few Companies that still make and sell Lava lamps along with there other cool lights .

Over time I see Mathmos as the main leader for this forum from there Lava to there other lights.

What will Lava Lite bring to the table for the world to buy. Looks like they may have there factory here in 2015 but will it have the machines to make the lamps or will it just be a place to assemble the lamps as they arrive from China which will be cheaper to make it happen.

If you see something new or even something that is still for sale post it here like these that can still be bought and are now on sale for $10.00 with there flared plastic see thru base with nice looking  top base port holes.

Perhaps one day soon we will see a Dr Who Lava lamp.

Would you say one of those globes would fit nicely in a consort globe? I have one to redo. Or are they too big?

They may make a perfect refill for the consort however the base is square shaped.

Spencers needs to make sales with better looking and running lamps. These Duo lamps have a nice look to them and people just want a nice clear running lamp in the long run. Buyers no longer care about the Classic shape since most of the time they are cloudy and non-working. I will be watching the Duo line for other to add color combos.

Stopped by my 2 local Spencers today to see how many Duo wave lamps are in stock. I was very surprised to see that out of 12 lamps from a few days ago only 4 were left and in the Purple/Yellow colors only so I bought there other 2nd color since these lamp are much better looking/running then there stock of LL. I asked how the sales are and was told the Duo lamps are selling very well yet the Classic LL are Not. When buyers see the display with the Duo and LL lamps they buy the Duo it just has the great look to them and they donot need to be repaired or refilled. People want something new and better looking and this lamp will become a nice sale maker for Spencers.

Looks like they are doing another run of the Clearviews but will Spencer's carry them?

Spencers my carry a few perhaps however they still have quite a few Clearviews in stock of LLs second run on them with the lower frosted ring to keep the glare out. People have reached a point now as not to buy there lamps because of all the returns. It seems the only way to sell the new lamps is on-line thru Amazon which will be interesting to see how many returns will be going back. It looks like the Purple and Green versions just may have the same formula as the 52z neons which still have that white dye in many. When you see the 52z lamps running at Spencers most are cloudy and a few are non-working as the just sit there. This new line of Duo waves at Spencers are looking better and better for the buying public as they run next to the cloudy LL lamps.

I like the added front switch to the lamp hopefully the bottom plate may come off once the switch stops working over time as long as the lava flows great. From what I have seen so far the clearview plastic cup holder no longer has rivets to hold in place they have added 3 screws now and may have replacement cups in colors as options like a smoked or blue and even red plastic clearview cups.I just cannot see this line in a 20z lamp for $20.00 not worth it now since Spencers has there larger Duo multi colored 16" lamps out there as crystal clear lamps made by Creative Motion.

Planet Lava has now restocked there Grandes in 2 colors. Also LL has now added the same to there site for sale. Looks like they now have the new Grande with there new formula.
