Hi,

I just received an Astrobaby Silver glitterball.

Very disapointed :-(

No flow!

After few blobs at the start, there is only one long one, like a slug, not moving at all.

Sometimes it breaks into few blobs and the lamp flow but poorly..

I tried 30w 40w, no differences.

any trick?

Thanks

Perhaps this Glitterball was overheated a while ago. They will overheat fast and the wax will just sit there and try to flow. How is it on the heat coil is all of the wax covering it.

This lamp runs now.

Strange. It stays without moving, and I don't know why then it's moving.

I didn't see any coil in there.

What's the best bulb? 30 or 40w?

Because I want to fill a jet bottle with it.

Glitterballs run great with a 30w even though a 40w maybe recomended. The 30w will have this lamp live longer. As for the flow make sure there is a coil if not install a small coil and see what happens. Perhaps this vase was overheated with many years of use with a 40w bulb.

No, it works well now.

I guess the first run was not good because it didn't run for a long time maybe...

(it was on a 30w astrobaby bulb)

I finally managed to get it work in a Jet bottle with a 25w bulb and a coil.

Looking good and flowing nice.
