This will become the Forum to talk about the Newly made Royale by Lava Lite. There first run was done in this Blue/Yellow wax combo and I have seen there perhaps? 2nd version done with Purple/Yellow wax. The base on the 1rst version is Silver with a really large cap which soon I will adjust more on the later. The lamp stands 18.5x6x6 and will use a 60w reflector I may also try a 75w but will see how this lamps flow with-in the time period. The vase is 80z and looks great. I will add more as I finish to unbox this version. Here is the Royale next to the Heritage 52z not a bad size but for that top cap its big.

The vase is crystal clear and it arrived very cold but liquid clear. Once this vase has reached room temp. then I will run this beast. Always remember never run a cold globe till warmed up at room temp. or the vase will crack.

What the cap looks like with the date and batch# reminds me of the Grande seal cap.

What the base looks like with-in next to a 52z base. Above what the bulb chart is all about.

The globe is the best looking/made vase I have seen in a long time. There are no imperfections and no side lines that we have seen in the 32z and 52z sides as to were there are made. Also the bottom has been reformed inside as to hold the coils yes there are 2 of them so they large coil will now lay with-in that circle border.

Another look at the 52z and 80z globes side by side.

80z to 52z comparison top photo.

Here is a size chart that shows where the Royale stands.

So far as the globe runs it takes 3 hours for it to start the flow and flows great after 5 hours. Also that large top cap fits a Grande perfect with no loose side play. Now as you can see in this side by side photo this large cap was a poor design since it rests on the globe not on the seal globe upper cap there is a 1" gap now LL should have done a better cap and could have make it small in height. Perhaps this Royale cap will fit the newer Grande and they have decided to have one size fits 2 lamps. Now as is the cap needs to be position for a proper fit since again it rests around on the glass vase.

I think if they did a shallow cap it would have reminded me of the screw-top caps of the old Centuries, but this cap looks way too much out of proportion. Thanks for the awesome write up Bohdan.

This is what the flow looks like at 12 hours run time with room temp. at 69 degrees. This lamp really lights up the room at night with its wonderful flow!!

This is how the spike looks like now. Also once the globe cools down the wax becomes flat level so the formula is different and better. How many of us see LLs newer globes including the Grande and see after it cools down there is that round wax ball just sitting there. This lamp cools down like the LL USA globes use to which is great.

Without making a major cut/change to the top cap I added a plastic bottle cap that is 1-1/8"tall to take up the air gap and to keep the cap from mainly resting on the globe and sitting to low as well. This easy mod now has the top metal cap resting on that plastic cap and is just at the liquid level on the globe as it should have been from the factory. The lamp does look taller and much better.
