Hi folks! Mathmos is releasing their very first of new colours and takes on the Astro, with their Red/ Pink Astro lava lamp. This is a really beautiful colourway and really stunning to look at.

OMG we have cool vase colors and now we have anodized Astros in there Blue-Gold and what looks like Copper. Mathmos continues to be the leader in giving customers what they ask for unlike the other company that gives there customers Shrink Colored Wrapped base/caps.

That Anodized copper version will be one very nice seller for Mathmos. What color globes are with this one and the same for the Gold version.

Is this a violet white one in the front of the picture?

The Lamp looks more like the Blue/Red lava perhaps. The one behind looks like a Yellow liquid with pink Lava. They have a few excellent new colors about to happen.

And does anybody know, when they will release the new colors?

There will be three editions of the Astro. The Astro with the current finish will go away and will replaced with a mirror polished version with a ledge inside, to make sure the bottles will fit perfectly. The new bottles look excellent.

New colours for 2013 are: Yellow/Orange, Red/Pink, Yellow/Green

Then there is: Astro Pop which will be: Clear/ Turquoise, Clear/Pink and Clear/ Black

Then there is: Astro Heritage which will be the same colours but different base finish.

Out in Spring ...

Also seen a Blue Anodised base and cap ... I love the vintage finish tho.

Can i also see a Red Anodised base and cap?

we are working on new colours at the moment but we have stopped trying to find new colours because 1) we are working on a jet prototype and 2) we are working on a new lamp that's 85oz and DOES NOT SPIKE.

Ok wow really cool :)

So will they discontinue the standard colors like orange/violet and blue/green?

And did you heard anything about a new Lamp for the 50th aniversary like the new Lunar or a new small lamp?

no lunar but yes there is a small lamp on its way ;)
