Light bulb

I have a vintage lamp that says it requires a 40watt S15 bulb, however the lava part sits on top of the bulb... is my top and bottom mismatched or is there a shorter bulb out there?

Do you have a photo of your lamp and bulb most took 40w A15 type.

A shorter bulb known as an appliance bulb or a reflector should work
