Hey folks. Recently bought a lunar lamp. The only damage is a few dents in the cone at the top. I can remove it quite easily and was wondering what you folks do if the cap is dented. I realize that when they dent the metal stretches so it's not as easy as popping them Back out. Any suggestions for removing the dents?

When I had a few dents on one of my Lunars yrs ago I used a wooden round ball. What I did was place the cap on a thin towel on my kitchen table and with the wooden ball I would slowly with light pressure roll it over the dent from the inside with the dent facing the towel to push the dent back this worked for me and takes time just remember once a dent happens it will never be like new. I managed to push the dent out but there still was a slight mark. I kept rolling the ball over the dent making sure not to over press it.

Thanks for the tip. I am just worried about doing more harm than good. Thought about talking to a body an for cars. They can be quite good at shrinking and stretching metal

Cheers. Peter
