I finally got around to redoing a Lava Lite Lantern that was damaged yrs ago with base smashed-cap dented and with a broken side arm. After reforming damaged parts and making another side arm out of aluminium shaft that I found and then rethreaded the bottom and used a flat inner vise to make the top part as it should be. I then carefully rebent the arm to match the other side and it came out pretty close to what it should have been. I lifted the base up added wire drilled holes and repainted the bad finish with a metallic copper. It now has its spot on the fireplace.

After the dents were removed and the rust removed also new wiring added to the bottom .

The painting done and the bottom raised with there holes.

What the base looks like as it lights up.

What the lower portion looks like up close.

The final finished Lantern with a new lease on life for it.

Wow - Super excellent job Bohdan. I like the holes at the bottom too as they really let out some extra light from under the lamp and it looks really amazing! This turned out really great! :)

Nice job

like the wood stove is it an Earth Stove ?

The stove is electric with built in heater. I added the upper vent to it for that look. The whole heater was made in metal and is very heavy.

Wow, that is awesome! I have never seen a lantern lava lamp like that before.. It is badass! I want one!! Good job on the restoration.
