Yes, they are my favourite lava lamp of all time! My first lava lamp actually, but I used to have the green version. I wouldn't agree that LL is to blame for their disappearance as we don't really have LL's here in Australia, Carramar were a lighting company that mainly dealt in touch lamps and other lighting and the Volcano lamp was just a small part of their range of lights. Im sure if Carramar hadn't gone into liquidation they would still be making them today as they were hugely popular here, and still are very sought-after!
I love how they made the bottom of the vase so the bulb fits in. The design was very cool however there time ended once LL started to sell there cheap price lamps all over the world and well made lamps began to disappear.
