Well since the Heritage Collection is now on sale like $14.99 from the $40.00 to $50.00 range it was time for me to buy a few and see what has to be done to make them work as they should have been if needed. The shop I went to had over 30 in stock and all 6 models were there. I bought all 3 of the Century models and the great looking Red Wizard model. As they came out of the box the Century 5000 and 5001 were slightly cloudy the other 2 were nice and clear. As I begin there start-up I will add to this forum on how they run. I see LLs site no-longer has them since all have been sold to other Lots for quick sales at a fantastic low price.

These shops are like Ross they stock what was bought in very large amounts to be sold cheaply from discountinued Items like LLs lamps. You have to visit the shop at times to see what is going on. TM shops remind me of a better looking Big Lots with great sales personal.

I now have 3 Century bases done and running very well just remember the mods I did with the 40w frosted bulb the inner heat shield and the plastic bottom bare insulation does help the lamp run very well. However LLs so-called Premium Formulation is not since once again we have Cheap Formulation yet they flow very well once again with the Shields.

What they look like spiked after 3 hours and the room temp at 69.

As they start to flow after 5 hours again room temp at 69.

i miss big lots

we used to have one near here..
cool store

Too bad, closest Tuesdays to me is over 100mi away

Perhaps soon we will have another run from LL as they try to sell here 50th for $14.99 or less. The shops around me that have the 50th still have there stock for sale not many are buying them. Could it be because they are for sale for more then $20.00. LL should have never started this $20.00 or less cheap lamp sale now people have become mind-set to that price.

We have a Big Lots around us but there lamp selection is non for now and has been for awhile.

I doubt the will do another run.

LL said they are not going to be producing them any longer

I broke down and bought a grande from Amazon, for more than I should of paid ($127), considering the sale for 30% w/free ship during Halloween.

The 52 oz recently costs me $42 with shipping

The costs of procrastination,..

Unless they made a 11.5" or 8"" I have every size now (4)

Now I have to find various height pedestals to display properly

Standup in front of support group,..

Ahem,..

HI

My name is Claude

I have this addiction

it's been 1 day since I bought a lava lamp,..

Do you have there 12z Lamp that came and went fast. This was a disaster for them as they tried to make different ounce based lamps.

No I didnt take on those

I did however buy a bunch of 8ox at Menards.

They were only $4 after rebates

They flank the display nicely

It now been almost 2 weeks with these lamps and the Clear/Purple Century is running very well with its heat inner ring and 40w A-15 bulb with dimmer set at 75%. Most of these globes have that tiny starlite specks within the globe which is normal. Many yrs ago LL and LW U.S.A also had such in most of there globes its normal. You can see as the wax snakes up on its run.The photo enhances those specks which cannot be seen as well in the real light of day.

Another photo as the lamp at times really starts a heavy flow.

The Red Wizard is really looking good and I have also added that bottom plastic box insulation as the heat was also lost to the surface it was on. Also the bulb in socket touched the vase when I first started to run this lamp so with the dimmer set at low I was able to see thru the Star/Moon holes and carefully bent down the socket for a not so close touch to the vase. If the bulb touches the vase the flow will be off. This is the lamp after 8 hours and the dimmer set at 80%.
