Well since the Heritage Collection is now on sale like $14.99 from the $40.00 to $50.00 range it was time for me to buy a few and see what has to be done to make them work as they should have been if needed. The shop I went to had over 30 in stock and all 6 models were there. I bought all 3 of the Century models and the great looking Red Wizard model. As they came out of the box the Century 5000 and 5001 were slightly cloudy the other 2 were nice and clear. As I begin there start-up I will add to this forum on how they run. I see LLs site no-longer has them since all have been sold to other Lots for quick sales at a fantastic low price.

The Heritage Century models and for that low price alone the materials are worth it. I also wondered why there were no 50th done as Centuries could it have been since this models had issues with heating and flowing?

As for the Wizards they are great especially that Red anodized model 6020.

Another photo of the small booklet that came with each lamp. I like what it says about those premium materials that were used.

Out of the 3 models one had a 40w spot light bulb due to the fact that we have heat issues with these lamps using premium formulations. Over time LL started to send out spot lights to customers to correct said problems we shall see. I have started to make heat shields for these lamps since yrs ago LW USA had them already made up due to the fact the heat is lost within the larger base with those pinholes.

Here we have a closer look at the globes not bad for there cost.

They have added a well made in-line dimmer however unless you have a heat shield with-in the base that dimmer will be on high most of the time.

My heat shield is done and what I used was a top cap from the 52z lava lamps that I have saved. This makes a great shield and is removable.

Another look at the shield and what LL should have done to make this Century work better as the USA versions had.

As you can see without the shield the heat from the bulb goes down and thru the holes and it even heats up the bottom of the base.

Another photo of the bulb lit.

Now with my custom shield installed.

And now with the bulb lit and the heat goes up as it should be yet lets enough light to the pin holes.
