if you are running on a dimmer turn it up a bit if not add more surfactant.
When the goo kits first came out they were made just for the larger lamps of the Grande which most of the time when a customer bought them became non-working over the months and a refill was needed. Over time the goo kits started to have there many quailty problems and still do. What size lamps have you made and perhaps you have used a little more wax which would have a slow flow. What size bulb are you using and how long is this lamp running with its slow flow. Goo kits start faster and over heat faster dependent on the bulb like in the Grande which used a 100w but ran fine with a 75w. Most of the time Goo kits do not go well with small globes they need that large space to flow well.
Yeah, try unplugging it and letting it cool all the way down for several hours until it is completely cooled. Then plug it back in an let sit for several hours. It may take several hours for the lava to completely melt. Once completely melted the flow of the lava should be much better.
