I stopped at my Larger Spencers on the way home last nite to see if they still had Neons in stock and if anywere running out on display. YES they are back in all of the Spencers. It seems LL asked Spencers to have all of them in the box removed and looked at. If they were clear to place them back in the box and display them for sales. I spoke about them with a store manager that I have known for many Yrs. This recall would have taken its toll on LL so the inspection was needed. NOW for the bad news they look nice and Clear in the box however once they are taken home and turned on it looks like the white dye within the wax and sitting on the bottom will start to rise and cloud it up.

I brought one home for a real review and will post what happens. The one in this pic has the white dye within and on the bottom so we shall see.

The problem with the Neons is after they have started to heat up and run there is a white trail that starts to form and rise. Then the globe goes Cloudy. The manager had mentioned this to me and I said does it mainly happen to the yellows YES was the answer and that the purples wax ones seem to be the best ones..

Neon yellow wax Number H5108    12042002  C1   = 04-20-12  batch C1-02 The pic here is the vase as is right from the box you can see the white dye sitting on the top and can be seen thru out the inner wax.

After 2 days the white dye in the Neon wax has totally been released and has made this lamp very cloudy you can bearly see the lava flowing. This Neon was bought clear looking and after 2 days it became there new Lamp for 2012 garbage.

As this fine Lava Lite flows with all of its White dye. The future of LL has begun with these lamps that were never Recalled but aloud to remain to be sold to the buying public.

Stopped by my local Spencers yesterday and found out that the shops in my area have returned all of there Neons back to home central. Many that were clear in the box after they had the employees check them all out and then sold were returned a few days later cloudy with the customers who had bought them very upset for wasting there time buying this junk. It seems LL just does not get it there once again new image is ruined. They need to take a few lamps out of the box and run them once they arrive from China to see how they look not just have them arrive out of sight and mind and placed up for sale.

Stopped to check out the re-release of the New 52z Neons at Spencers. They look great yet as I have found out with yet another return is they now have BAD Coils. It seems the lava takes forever to flow and when it does only 1/3 of the wax is over the coil. There have been a few returns with this lamp and looks like Spencers will once more have to do another return back to LL with the Neons. I replaced my Yellow Neon with the coil from a Five below lamp which is Stainless and it took right of and is flowing great . I had to stretch that Five below coil to get the size I wanted and it is working great. LL should buy this coil from the company that makes there $5.00 lamps and place it in there Neons. They need to stop being so Cheap and make it right. It has been many many yrs for them to get there act together yet still we have junk lamps to sell the world. LL seems to hope that who ever buys there $20.00 lamps that donot work may not return them and LL will make there Cheap sales. What a great way to run a business. If Five below can have a great looking and working lava lamp for $5. and in a 10z yet LL cannot even come close to making a nice flowing lamp for there 12z- 20z and now 52z perhaps they should just close there business down before even more people become tired of Lava lamps and will loose interest in them.

With the newly added coil spring from a Five below lava lamp this Neon now flows great and has cleared up very fast due to the coil. LL still seems to be on this we will make it Cheaper kick and have now made the new neons even more cheaper with there low grade coils. They need to save that extra coin and have the buying public suffer as they continue to make cheap lamps.

My Spencers now has a larger display area for LL lamps. They now have many out and running with a few 20z lamps in the cloudy mode and one Neon in green lava sticking to the vase. They have quite afew lamps to sell in the Neons with only 1 in Yellow the rest are Green and that light purple colored version. They do look clear but this new formula still could be much better.

Stopped at a few other Spencer shops they now have all the Neon colors for sale. The best looking and running versions are the Green Neons.
