Light bulbs oh my!

It seems on the newer LL lamps there are different 40W A-15 bulb in the boxes at times. On another Blue/White version it came with a slightly longer bulb at the screw base that had the globe resting on the bottom globe. The newer Blue/Red had the shorter base A-15 inside so now we may have to count how many screw points are around the bulb to be safe oh my. Three round screw points is good not 4 as in this photo.

What happens here is the bulb now almost touches the globe and since it is closer makes it run hotter. I have been using frosted bulbs whenever I can since they run not as Hot as clear bulbs do.
