With time and a proper over lay sheet with the holes lined up this sheet plate can be applied over the base for the pin holes to be drilled. Once done a Grande will have a new look to it. Now the only other problem is having a globe that runs great and remains clear since many are sooo bad from the factory.

While you are at it a Grande can be painted using Anodized paints from Dupli-color called Metalcast in there anodized finish which is heat resistant and very durable.

The colors available can also be used to paint bases like these Aristocrats.
