Hi,

There is many different glitter, usually they're: fast glitter (solvent type) or slow glitter.

the fast are made with perchloroethylene (fantasia), or trichlorotrifluoroethane (Living Jewel), and the slow ones are made with propylene glycol (glitterbaby and glitterlite).

Not so long ago, I bought a Grande Glitter which I used to make a Lunar bottle, an astro and a Jet one.

This glitter is special.

It is a little faster than the "slow one", but not as fast as the "fast one".

It is definitively not made with solvent, but neither with propylene glycol.

I tasted it (yes it's stupid) and it is very acid.

I tried to dye it with food coloring (which work well with propylene glycol glitter) and it made a big mess!

So...

Does anyone knows what is the liquid in Lavalite Grande glitter, and how to dye it?

Thanks

There was a lot of salt at the bottom of the Grande globe, I suspect it is citric acid, but I don't know what is the liquid...

I had a Giant Grande Glitter that I used to make two of my Glitter heads and a few 52z Lamps. I used Mccormick food color for the dye and had no problems at all. This Glitter is a slow mover but still runs great.
